I moved to Monterey County, California with my family in 1998, originally hailing from Nijmegen, Netherlands. After graduating from CSU Monterey Bay in 2002 with my B.S. in Telecommunications, Multimedia and Applied Computing, I decided to make the Central Coast my permanent home, who wouldn’t?! More recently, I received my Masters of Arts in Organizational Leadership from Brandman University in 2013.
I am a combat veteran of the United States Army, assigned to California Army National Guard. I was deployed 2003 in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. During my service, I received several awards including the Army Commendation Medal and the Global War on Terror Medal.
In my spare time I enjoy staying active in the community and attending local events. I love spending time with my family on the hiking trails, at the beach, or museums. When I find any extra time I enjoy obstacle course racing, mountain biking, and traveling. At last count the tally was 4 continents, 24 countries and 34 American states.
